Hospital Tour

We are very proud of our hospital and encourage you to stop by and take a personal tour of our facility. We will be happy to show off our facility and answer any questions you may have.

Our Lobby

Lobby- We designed our lobby with a nature based theme. We are ardent supporters of nature conservation programs and wanted our hospital to feel comfortable without seeming clinical. Our kiddie corner will occupy your children and a courtesy phone and TDD are available to those who need to contact family regarding treatments, etc.

Exam rooms

Exam rooms- Our exam rooms are designed with pet related themes. We have a "dog" room, "cat" room, and "bird" room. These exam rooms can accommodate all species, but we enjoyed making these rooms extra special. Our clients often request a particular room for their pet's exam.

Our Comfort Room

Comfort room- This room was designed to provide relaxing surroundings for both clients and patients. It is furnished with a sofa, tv, and courtesy telephone. Supplies and a folding exam table are hidden behind custom cabinet doors. We use the comfort room for claustrophobic dogs, large families participating in examinations, owners wishing to wait while their pets are in surgery, and owner attended euthanasias.

Our Laboratory

Laboratory- We perform most of our blood work in-house in order to have immediate results in those cases where time is critical. All presurgical blood work is done prior to anesthetic procedures to assure that your pet will not have any problems assimilating anesthesia. For more extensive blood work, we send out to a certified veterinary laboratory and in most cases have results back within 24 hours.

Our Pharmacy

Pharmacy- If your pet should need medications, we provide a stocked pharmacy so your pet can immediately begin recommended medications. Call us in advance and we will have your pet’s refilled medication ready to pick up.

Our Radiology Room

Radiology- Our radiology department can take radiographs (x-rays) of your pet and also dental films. Films are immediately developed for viewing. A certified radiologist also reviews all our films to verify diagnoses or detect hard to find problems.

Our Surgery Room

Surgery- Our surgery suite is equipped with the most up to date equipment to insure that your pet will have a safe surgical experience. Surgeries are performed in a sterile environment and the doctors are masked and gowned just like in human hospitals! We use human grade gas anesthesia to keep patients safely anesthetized during surgery. We also have devices which monitor your pet's pulse/respiration, oxygen levels and body temperature throughout the procedure. Of course anesthesia is always monitored by a qualified technician, as well.

Our Grooming Area

Grooming- We offer professional grooming Monday thru Friday. We will groom your pet to your specifications or do a standard breed cut. Grooming includes bathing, hair cutting, nail trimming, ear washing, and anal gland expression. You may drop your pet off in the morning on your way to work and pick up on your way home. Your pet will be clean, coifed and ready to strut their stuff!

Our Boarding

Boarding- Our boarding area is staffed by trained attendants. We have a choice of small, cozy cages up to full size double runs. Dogs are let outside three times daily in our courtyard for exercise and "potty duty". Cats and exotics are boarded in separate areas. We feed science diet brand pet food or you may bring your pet’s favorite food for us to feed. You may have your pet bathed or groomed before pickup or have any needed services performed while you are gone.

Our Treatment Room

Treatment- The treatment area is where most of the "action" takes place. This room is large and open giving us plenty of room to tend to multiple patients and hospitalized cases. The treatment ward contains two "wet tables"- stainless steel tables with shallow tubs. These tables are ideal for doing basic treatments such as injections, bandages, etc., as well as surgeries which involve a lot of bacteria (such as abscesses and dentals) where a sterile work environment would not be indicated. Treatment is also equipped with an ultrasonic scaler, polisher, and dental drill allowing us to clean your pet’s teeth both above and below the gum line, as well as doing restorative work and extractions.
