Megan joined our hospital in May of 2014. “While going to college to obtain my degree in Elementary Education I started assisting at a local dog grooming salon. What started as a flexible job to help while I was in school, turned into an entire new career path. After finishing college I decided that grooming was where my heart was. Back to school I went, this time for grooming and I have yet to regret that decision. Grooming now full-time for 4 years, being in this industry over 8. I truly love every aspect of my job. I enjoy taking classes and attending conferences so that I can keep my skills sharp while bringing new techniques and styles to my clients. I have a passion for continuing my education in the grooming industry as well as competing with some of the best this industry has to offer. I’m an avid animal lover, but my weakness has always been dogs and horses. In my spare time I love being outside in the country and enjoying all my new surroundings have to offer.”
I have always had a strong passion for animals. I started working with animals in high school as a kennel caretaker where I soon became interested in dog grooming. That led me to work for PetSmart as a bather where I had the opportunity to complete their grooming program. I have been lucky enough to work in such a rewarding field that I love, for 11 years now. Everyday I look forward to seeing the satisfaction on my customers’ faces after I present their pampered pup. I happily spend my free time with my miniature poodle Luna, who is the best cuddler ever! I am also the property of a cat we call Rey. If I’m not at home snuggled in bed with my animals and a good book, you will often find me outside hiking, enjoying nature, traveling, or horseback riding.
